Summary: We are looking for a Data analyst to join PayPal’s Decision Intelligence team in Chennai .Our team works on measurement of fraud loss in the ecosystem. Our goal is to provide the accurate forecasts ,build supporting root-cause infrastructure and enable our stakeholders to make the right Risk strategy decisions. : This role offers a unique opportunity to manage Paypal risk loss and contacts forecasting by developing forecasts and build up automation system to automate data driven forecasting processes and realize process optimization.

• Design, develop and maintain machine learning/AI algorithms, integrate the machine learning algorithm into E2E automation pipeline, which will be used to enhance risk loss forecasting process. Makes sound decisions that balance risk, user experience and financial performance through the algorithm optimization.
• Develops data and tools assets with the aim to improve efficiency
• Participate in the formulations and implementation of departmental processes, procedures, policies and standards.
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on matters of significance to the business.
• Look for improvement and innovation opportunities with business impact. Provide a source of high-quality ideas.
• Develop automation tools which could be used to reduce human efforts and improve efficiency

Job Requirements:

• Experienced with data mining and analytical tools – Proficient with SQL, Python etc. Experience with predictive modeling is a plus.
• Proven experience in employing analytics solution on real world problems.
• Good business sense and logical thinking. Ability to synthesize information and generalize the pattern.
• Proven ability to work independently and proficiently on well-defined projects; Focuses primarily on how to achieve overall business objectives of a project with speed and quality
• Effective inter-personal skills. Manage relationship with key partners across different functions. Able to collaborate with remote teams effectively.
• Skilled in Presenting – can effectively communicate in large or small group settings.

• Basic qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or computer science or engineering field with 3+ years professional work experience in a relevant field. Or Master’s degree with 2+ years profession experience.
• Industry experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services is a strong plus
• Fluent in English.
