Summary: The candidate will be part of PayPal Finance & Analytical Data Services team. The candidate will be responsible for analysis, design, coding and build security framework for ETL teams in Big data . The candidate has to interact with global cross-functional teams to address complex business requirements. The role demands the individual to possess technical skills required to perform the job in an effective manner. The individual should be self-motivated, possess creative problem solving skills and have the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. :
Responsibilities: In this role, the individual will be part of the engineering team in Analytical Data Services Organization and will be responsible for.

• Participating and collaborating with Product Owner/ Cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.
• Creativity and out of the box thinking is required.
• Proactively anticipating problems and keeping the team and management informed in a timely manner.
• Being flexible and being able to support all functions of product life cycle when required.
• Will be acting as tech lead in security Produce quality deliverables.

Job Requirements Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in the IT industry, experience in data eng is Mandatory.
• Shell/ Perl scripting experience or proficiency in any programming language like C/ C++
• Knowledge of Real time Analytics
• Strong fundamentals of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Expert in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability and performance
• Working experience in any MPP systems (Certified Teradata developer is a plus); Should have strong SQL programming skills
• Skilled in SQL/HiveQL/Spark and be able to manipulate and aggregate large datasets
• Experience with Python/R and other scripting languages and experience implementing advanced analytical models in BI solutions
• Previous exposure to semantic layers is a huge bonus whether as a user or developer
• Experience/exposure on Tableau/Qlik/PowerBI or other similar visualization tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge in MPP Databases/ Distributed systems
• Exposure BI tools desired, but not required (Micro strategy, Business Objects).

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor/ Masters in Engineering/ Science degree with Mathematics or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in IT
