About the team:
PayU Finance is the credit and lending arm of the PayU brand (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Prosus group. Previously Naspers group) headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
PayU Finance India has disbursed about 20 billion loans to date by volume and has disbursed more than $280 million in consumer credit. PayU Finance provides consumers with easy access to affordable short-term loans up to INR 5 lacs that can be availed in the form of personal loans, point of sale EMI, and express loans.
PayU Finance operates under two brands – LazyPay and PaySense with a focus on Buy now Pay later and personal loan products.

What you’ll be doing:

• Influences the team to adopt the latest technology which can in-turn improve the overall code quality
• Takes ownership in scaling mobile app development across Engineering, providing valuable insight on how we can refine our processes and tools to support additional contributors in our architecture and code
• Self-motivated in driving end-to-end feature development by following the best practices.
• Takes ownership of end-to-end product quality, from developing to maintaining core app frameworks that help make the apps more reliable and delightful
• Brainstorm on creating architectures for a new feature/sdk and explore new technologies on the forefront of mobile technology
• Zeal to improve the app performance by either upgrading the tech stack or finding/fixing core problems associated with it.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
• Should have more than 3 years of experience in Android mobile applications development with sound understanding of Android Architecture, Framework, Android SDK, Core Java, Android Studio IDE, Android Debugger
• Have a good understanding of design principles and should know about MV*(MVP/MVI/MVVM etc) architecture.
• Have a sound and working experience in Kotlin and eager to make the code more idiomatic and cleaner.
• Have a knack for benchmarking and optimisation by tuning the performance through CPU/Network profilers.
• Understands the ins-and-outs of the Android app lifecycle and gives focus on the clean architectures.
• Have a good experience in writing Unit/UI Tests to improve the overall code quality
• Expert in several components of Android: Activity, Services, Intent, Broadcast Receiver, Content Provider
• Proficient in understanding versioning tools like Git or SVN
