Job Description

Position Description – Automation Tester (Cypress/Selenium using JavaScript) or Squish/Selenium using Python (2 – 7 years Exp)We are seeking for a talented software tester to join our QA team.In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of scientific desktop applications, designing, preparing, executing, maintaining and analyzing automated tests, in addition, to executing manual regression tests.Responsibilities Create and execute automated tests. Get familiar with advanced scientific software and be able to identify user test cases Identify software application weaknesses. Create Test reports Follow test cases documents and be able to automate those test cases Collaborate with the Domain testing team (Manual testers) Collaborate with Software development teamsRequirements– Science or Engineering Graduate in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field- Any certification like ISTQB, is not mandatory but is a plus.- Familiarity with Squish – UI based automation tool – Advantage- Team worker with “Can do” approach- Learn and understand the application under test.- Understand and analyze requirement specification documents. Building scenarios and use cases for existing or new functionality. Generate/review/update test suite accordingly.- Locate to the best extent the inconsistencies, defects, performance issues etc. with help of test cases, applying mind and common sense very well.- Apply different types of testing and various techniques in order to locate as many issues as possible to make the application under test error free.- Use of the tools rolled out to help the testing team (e.g. JIRA, gerrit) in order to create tasks, defects, get latest installers, activity and time trackers etc.- Identify new targets for automation- Having flair in writing scripts using languages like Python, Javascript etc. will be a definite advantage.- Excellent English oral and written skills in email, documentation, phone calls, video conferencingJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Up to INR97,561.00 per monthSchedule:
