In this role, you will engage deeply in building and testing core features of Pega platform which runs thousands of BPM and CRM applications around the world. You would use latest automation technologies to build test frameworks and write automated tests for features built by team.

What You’ll Do at Pega:

• Drive quality in one or more areas in the Pega Platform

• Initiate and manage efforts to improve the quality of the product

• Foster a continuous process improvement environment

• Perform defect & root cause analysis, code quality assessment and other quality analysis

• Collaborate with Product manager to come up with use cases / test scenarios for the new features being developed at the feature level

• Coach, guide and review test cases / use cases built by the teams to improve coverage and quality of the feature

• Learn to rapidly build applications using Pega platform, with intuitive data model and professional user interface

• Collaborate in a fast paced Agile environment with development teams and other cross-functional teams

• Ensure that teams are enabled and equipped to deliver high-quality software that meets customer expectations – making sure that defects are identified and addressed early during development

• Motivate and inspire team or Quality Engineer group to achieve outstanding results

• Setup Pega server on Amazon EC2 and exposure to Cloud technologies and terminologies

• Have fun with team during lunch, recreational area and quarterly outings, 10k runs

• Use various tools, languages and libraries like Git, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Linux, Ruby, RSpec, Java, JUnit, JGiven, Groovy, Spock, AWS technologies

Who You Are:

You are a tester who is skilled at coding in Java, using automation technologies and passionate about exploring and applying this to help solve real business problems.

What You’ve Accomplished:

• 6 – 8 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)

• Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience

• Experience using the following: Core Java, JUnits, tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins, Linux

• What You’ve Accomplished:

• Tested functional, robust and scalable software built using Java

• Partner with internal clients, like Product Managers, to align business goals with implementation results
