The Role
We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who seeks a career in a privately owned manufacturing business. As part of the business development team, you will be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads. We’re especially looking for someone with great communication skills, as you’ll be expected to interact with shareholders, customers and fellow executives on a daily basis.
Reporting to the Manager – Business Development, you will be a team player and responsible for generating leads and closing sales. We’re looking for a professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals. Successful applicants should be willing to travel extensively.
Responsibilities
· Actively follow up Individual leads from your allocated region, fostering relationships from initial introduction, through to closing the business
· Forward all other leads to the Business Development Manager
· Visit existing and potential Individual customers to evaluate needs or promote products
· Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations
· Work with customers to determine their needs and then recommend the right product
· Develop and ensure quotes are delivered in a timely fashion with the appropriate quality and in accordance with company’s policies
· Negotiate and close business with prospective customers
· Answer client questions about products, prices and availability
· Request and submit Sales Orders (Performa Invoice) for payment request
· Obtain advance and balance payments from customers
· Maintain relationship with current Individual customers and identify new leads within the area you have been assigned
· Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction
· Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs
· Attend training and use company literature to stay up to date on product features
· Attend tradeshows, exhibitions and other business functions to find potential new business, and to market company’s end-to-end solutions
· Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
· Meet and exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets
· Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports to management
· Travel as needed within India
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field
· Understanding of the principles of sales, sales process and dynamics
· Proven track record in achieving sales targets
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP software
· Ability to translate complicated technical jargon for an average customer
· Superb organisational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to travel to meet clients
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹25,000.00 – ₹30,000.00 per month
