JOB DESIGNATION: UI/UX FACULTY

LOCATION: NADAKKAVU, CALICUT

EXPERIENCE: 3YRS

SALARY: 25K-30K

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced UI/UX Faculty to join our team and help shape the next generation of designers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design principles, with the ability to teach and inspire students in a collaborative environment. This role involves delivering lectures, guiding design projects, and mentoring students to develop practical skills in the field of UI/UX design. The candidate will also stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Course Development:

• Deliver engaging lectures, hands-on workshops, and practical sessions on UI/UX design principles, tools, and best practices.

• Develop, update, and enhance the curriculum to reflect current trends in UI/UX design and technology.

• Teach core topics such as user-cantered design, wire framing, prototyping, usability testing, design systems, and responsive design.

Student Mentorship & Support:

• Provide one-on-one guidance to students on their projects, helping them refine their design thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Offer constructive feedback on students’ work and encourage continuous improvement.

• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment where students feel motivated to innovate and excel.

Industry Collaboration & Networking:

• Build connections with design professionals and organisations to provide real-world insights, guest lectures, and opportunities for student internships.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies, incorporating this knowledge into teaching.

Assessment & Evaluation:

• Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams.

• Provide regular feedback and grades to help students track their progress.

Administrative Duties:

• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and institutional committees.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the department and academic programs.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a certified scholar in related field

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven portfolio of design projects.

• Previous teaching experience or strong desire to teach in a higher education setting.

• Familiarity with industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, and prototyping tools.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and processes.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to explain complex design concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.

• Experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

• Ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster an interactive learning environment.

Preferred:

• Certification in UI/UX Design or related fields.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.V
