Job Summary:

As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their pets’ specific needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Grooming Services: Provide various grooming services, including bathing, trimming, clipping, nail care, and brushing.
2. Pet Handling: Safely handle pets of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
3. Sanitation and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
4. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with pet owners, understanding their pets’ specific needs and preferences.
5. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other groomers, veterinarians, and support staff to ensure seamless pet care.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean grooming equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
7. Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, products, and industry developments.

Requirements:

1. Certification: Certified Pet Groomer (CPG) or equivalent certification.
2. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in pet grooming.
3. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift pets, and handle grooming equipment.
4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming services.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Compassion and Empathy: Ability to provide emotional support and care to pets and their owners.

Desirable Skills:

1. Knowledge of Breed-Specific Grooming: Familiarity with breed-specific grooming styles and standards.
2. Experience with Grooming Software: Familiarity with grooming software and management systems.
3. Basic First Aid and CPR: Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR techniques.
