Scope of responsibility:

Undertakes discrete and defined activities under direct supervision of Lead Engineer. Responsible for communicating technical/ project issues potentially impacting the project to the Lead Engineer.

Functions as part of a team of engineers and will mainly provide assistance to other engineers or be responsible, under close supervision, for engineering of a small plant area.

The Engineer generally works under the Lead Engineer and will keep them closely informed of all activities and progress

Primary Duties

1. Reviews Basis of Design, philosophies, specifications, and other relevant documents. Identifies and resolves discrepancies and divergences from original proposal/contract to supervisory Engineer

2. Undertakes specific tasks/area of work under supervision, as defined by the Lead Engineer including preparation of Instrument Index & I/O schedule, Specifications, Loop diagrams, Datasheets, sizing calculations and Technical Requisitions for field instrumentation, control systems or bulk materials

3. Should Have ICSS engineering knowledge & able to generate deliverables like cause & effects, control & safety narratives

4. Ensures equipment compatibility and conformance with client specifications and requirements. (Per Contract).

5. Ensures compliance with Petrofac’s ISO Quality procedures, project QA Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures. Complying with other Petrofac’s accredited frameworks such as ISO 14001.

6. Performs related duties as agreed with Lead Engineer.

7. Should be well versed in SPI software.

Minimum Requirement

• Instrument Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university

• Minimum 3-20 years in relevant experience in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas Projects

• Preferably working with an international PMC / EPC company

• Adequate knowledge and practical applications, international specifications, codes and standards concerning to instrument and control engineering
