Job description

Role and Responsibilities

1. Develop and Maintain High Quality database solutions

2. Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL

3. Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements, suggest new queries

4. Develop procedures and scripts for data migration

5. Perform day-to-day operations (includes monitoring and maintenance, problem investigation and resolution, backup creation and maintenance, database optimization and tuning, etc.).

6. Independently analyse and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.

7. Assist in testing efforts for database use.

8. Effectively prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision.

9. Apply data modelling techniques to ensure integration and performance expectations are met as well as allow for future flexibility to meet changing business needs.

10. Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights

11. Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI

12. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those

13. Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models

14. Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations

15. Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics

16. Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI

17. Analyse current ETL process, define and design new systems

18. Create customize charts and custom calculations as per requirements

19. Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs

20. SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data

21. Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions

We expect you to possess

1. Your own Working Machine – Laptop preferred.

2. Github Repo, twitter account and strong moral principles against use of pirated software

3. Ability to work independently and with little supervision within a self-organizing agile team

4. Accountability for end-to-end product/project Implementation. Possess highest coding standards

5. Prefers writing code than copy-pasting it

6. Very active community profile with contributions (any)

7. Analyze functional requirements and establish a solution statement

8. Experience of working with Microsoft BI tools (Power BI)

9. Excellent SQL knowledge including T-SQL

10. Experience in programming in languages like C#, Python is a plus

11. Experience on NoSQL databases is a plus

Educational qualification & experience isn’t a barrier for anyone possessing fundamental technology skills. We encourage freshers to apply as well. Preference will be given to local and drop-out candidates with grounds-up experience.
