Job Description

The Manager MEP will lead and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) project activities, including design, planning, and execution of systems such as Electrical, HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing, and allied services. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities-

•Supervising and leading all engineering related designs and discussions.

•Provides direction to the projects management and technical matters.

•Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for engineering department.

•Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.

•Monitors the operation and progress of Engineering department.

•Support contractors and Admin Department for smooth handing over of project work.

•Coordinating with Govt officials to get these approvals and permission.

•Coordinating with Architects and consultants for getting drawings for approval purpose.

•Maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes: Civil and MEP.

•Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant specifications and standards.

•Act as a key contact with customers who have technical issues.

•Liaise with Consultants/ Clients/ Contractor on all project matters.

•Review of Civil/MEP Services Design proposals from Consultants & Contractors.

•Review tender documents and actively involve in value engineering exercise.

•Independently handle (Cost Certification, Quality Management, Schedule & Budget Management, Closeout Management)

•Responsible for handling multiple sub-projects and providing a detailed design package that complies with applicable substation engineering design standards and all safety codes.

•Knowledge and skills : Sound knowledge on reading and understanding architectural and engineering drawings, BOQs, and MEP DBRs.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma + AICTE

Experience: 12-15+ years of experience in MEP project management or a related field.

Skills

•Strong project management, leadership, and coordination skills across MEP works.

•Technical expertise in MEP systems, design review, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

•Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and schedule management.

•Effective stakeholder management, including coordination with consultants, contractors, and government authorities.

•Strong analytical and documentation skills with sound knowledge of BOQs, drawings, and value engineering.
