JOB OPPORTUNITY/DESCRIPTION

TITLE: IT QA Software Engineer

LOCATION: Bangalore

DEPARTMENT: D&IT

JOB SUMMARY:

The QA Test Analyst will drive quality improvements in Polaris software applications, which includes Order fulfilment, Logistics and Cash Applications which use Dynamics AX/365FO, along with customization. This role will be accountable to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical and out of the box mindset, with the ability to jump into on-going projects and come up to speed quickly. The QA Analyst will be focused on functional and integration testing using manual testing techniques throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You must be motivated to work with Product owners and Software Engineers to ensure all necessary testing is completed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Systems and Enterprise Architecture:

• Work with Product Owners and Software Engineers to understand business and functional requirements.

• Ability to develop test plan, including regression test suites, by understanding the problem statement and business requirement.

• Recommends process improvements for QA activities.

• Troubleshoot production issues (if any) when projects are released.

• Coach and Mentor developers to follow Polaris’s standards and incorporate industry best practices

• in the applications; guide them in error handling.

• Provide after install support: Questions and helpdesk tickets from users

Technical Leadership:

• Experience in D365FO Supply chain related modules are highly recommended

• Proven experience building out Regression test suites, supporting ERP version upgrades. Develop and execute test plans to ensure all objectives are met

• Perform Data/Functional/Regression/System Integration/Backend/Negative Testing

• Experience in testing Dynamics 365FO with any testing toll is preferred.

• Identify and analyze test data, test results

• Read and analyze Business Requirements documents to gather technical information

• Create all types of testing documents in support of Data testing: Estimations, Test Strategy, Test

• Case/Scripts, Test Plan, Test Data, Test Closure, Test Reports

• Create Bug/Defect work items, conduct defect triage meetings and retest defects

• Provide estimations and capacity planning for work assignments and change requests in

• accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

• Ensures compliance with SOX

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Design, Computer Information Systems or equivalent

• Proven experience with Azure DevOps, RSAT (or equivalent) tool is required.

• 5+ years of experience in a overall ERP SW Test or Development

• Experience with test automation and test or software architecture preferred.

• Experience with API / integration testing is preferred.

• Broad knowledge and experience with any ERP platform with a preference given to D365 Finance Operation

• Experience in D365FO Order Management, logistics and finance is highly preferred.

• Previous experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments.

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to understand custom applications functionality.
