The High Velocity Sales organization is a newly formed organization with a charter to accelerate PTC’s growth in the Digital Transformation world. This organization is at the forefront of establishing a new sales model leveraging modern technology and a programmatic approach with a goal to drive 50% of the company pipeline by 2020.

Virtual Application Engineer – India, ANZ, ASEAN

Impact

We have an exciting opportunity for a Virtual Application Engineer in our Bangalore office. You will be part of the High Velocity Sales team and Virtual Center of Excellence team which is responsible for providing technical expertise and demonstrations of PTC’s market leading Engineering, Internet of Things (IoT) and Augmented Reality Software Solutions.

Team

You will work with a multi-disciplined team of highly motivated engineers, the sales organization and partner ecosystem to understand customer use cases & requirements and deliver demonstrations that accurately depict how our solutions provide business value for our customers.

Day-To-Day

• Utilize engineering methods and technology to learn, build and deliver demonstrations
• Build Augmented Reality experiences in support of customer use case demonstrations
• Lead technical conversations, presentations, and demonstrations for customers. Potential topics include
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Augmented Reality
  • Mechanical CAD (MCAD)
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Build knowledge in the latest technological market trends and software solutions to better help our customers understand how it is best to partner with PTC
• Support our High Velocity Sales team as a part of sales process and for expert webinars with customers
• Collaborate with field engineers to propagate technical knowledge and information when appropriate

Skills and knowledge:

• 2-5 years of experience as a technical pre-sales, R&D, or IT solution implementation service provider, or as a professional user in a manufacturing company
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – including live presentations.
• Experience in interaction with ANZ or ASEAN is a huge plus.
• Strong curiosity to learn about technology and engineering processes
• Eagerness to build internal and external relationships
• Solution selling & customer facing skills required
• Ability to understand complex challenges quickly and to find reliable and usable solutions
• Ability to adapt to change in a highly dynamic & multicultural work environment

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field of study
