PwC, Energy, Utilities and Resources practice (Government Transformation) is looking for recruiting talent to work in the area of energy transition with IDAs and the large government entities. The professional would be helping drive the decarbonization agenda in renewable and new energies sectors. The role would involve working closely with public and private sector clients and funding agencies.

Focus areas: The focus areas would be the new age generation and other technologies like energy storage (e.g., Battery Energy Storage Systems i.e. BESS, green hydrogen, etc.), nuclear energy including SMRs, offshore wind energy and other decarbonization technologies.

The candidate will be required to primarily work with international development agencies (IDAs), large government organizations and support them in planning and implementation of various initiatives like strategy/policy formulation, implementation support, market assessment, project development model (PPP) review, financial structuring, amongst others.

A. Execution requirements: The candidate would be required to work on assignments involving the following areas (the list is not exhaustive)

– Technology analysis (Generation and storage) and feasibility assessment

– Global trend in generation and storage technologies

– Project development model (Different aspects of PPP)

– Bid advisory support including financial models & commercial/financial risk analysis

– Commercial and market due diligence

– Formulation of business plans and strategy roadmaps

– Regulatory and policy design

– Transaction advisory – PPP transactions

B. Business development activities (Direct and indirect support based on experience level):

– Maintaining relationship with existing and prospective clients,

– Generate leads and conversion,

– Preparation of proposals and budgets

Mandatory Skill sets:

· Prior experience in clean energy sector is a must

· Conceptual understanding of renewable energy and new technologies

· Professionals with consulting experience would be preferred.

· Experience of managing a team

Years of Experience: 2-9 years

Education Qualification: B.E/B.Tech + MBA/M.Tech or CA

Base Location- Base location would be Mumbai, however there could be a requirement of travel to client location as per the need of the projects

Requirements:

· Applicants are expected to have relevant experience as mentioned in the job description.

· Prior experience in consulting/bid advisory/bid structuring in renewable energy, power and utilities sector will be preferred.
