Technical Architect – Embedded Linux

Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead a cross functional team working in Linux BSP activity (Device Tree, Bootloader, Kernel, Peripheral Device Drivers etc.)
Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, flexible with work timings, attend and contribute to technical discussions.
Design, Develop/Upgrade software architecture for peripheral components.
Guide the team to implement, test and integrate requirements
Interact with internal and external stakeholders
Review code, design and other submissions to customer to ensure quality
Capture key work parameters (Productivity & Schedule )and prepare report after phase completion

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

Strong skills in C/C++ programming language especially in structures, pointers and linked lists.
Relevant experience in developing and debugging Linux device drivers, bootloaders, or Linux BSP
Solid understanding in Linux Kernel internals (Processes, Threads, Synchronization, Scheduling, Deadlocks, IPC etc)
Understanding of embedded Linux (Yocto/OpenEmbedded) build system and Linux bootloaders
Good knowledge of any scripting language preferably Shell script or Python
Understanding of peripherals like GPIO, I2C, SPI, Timer, DMA, ADC, DAC, PWM, Interrupt controller etc.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills is a must
Ability to understand and take decision on technical proposals
Ability to quickly ramp up with new technologies
Excellent analytical, problem solving, debugging skills interpretation skills
Self-motivated, good verbal and written communication.

Desired Skills:

Must have Project management experience with embedded product development companies
Willing to travel based on project requirements
Experience in embedded SW design/development (8,16,32 bit platforms, preferably ARM architecture) is a plus
