Company: a leading Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Job Summary:Hands on Experience in Handling P&L, operations, Process Knowledge and Automobile industry experience with MNC culture exposure. Strategic Context and Challenges

Overall responsibility for running the Product line Profitability with particular focus on product road map, year on year actions to improve cost structure, align with global product road map, VEVA , material and other cost optimization, continuous benchmarking with competition. Communicates performance targets and company requirements effectively and fully.

Decide and arrive at actions / tasks / strategic actions with Plant Managers / BU / Engg / Purchase / etc for all related continues improvement activities and business in line with company values. Core Responsibilities and Activities

Ensure Product line performance and all production teams are effectively resourced and are working to the standard processes defined in the APS system.

Optimize the manufacturing cost and ensure Product line Profitability and support processes in the plant and ensure compliance to Standards.

Analyze and follow up on Product line Performance in line with Business targets.

Prepare Product line budget requirements for investment, costs and expenses based.

Communicate Actively :
Run the Weekly/monthly reviews of Product line performance with CFT.

Flag critical issues that need additional support to higher authorities.

Active communication with division and global product line teams.

Performance management

Set targets for operational performance / material cost / sales / engg / etc

Provide input data for regional and global functions and follow up on monthly controlling reports as provided as required.

Implementing productivity improvement projects at site.

Making annual operating plans for total Product & executing as per company targets

Participate in and lead projects on performance improvement on a plant sub region level and effectively deploy policy deployment.

Making Value stream mapping and developing / maintaining process in accordance with Internal & external quality guidelines.

Responsible for conducting Product Line networking for new process establishment and coordinating.

Continuous improvement

Responsible for the implementation and development of the APS in the plant

Actively communicate with the plant managers and common functions understand ad input best practices.

Power of authority

Review and report profitability / product performance

Define targets for each function

Escalate as required to TND management / AAS management / etc

Education

Degree in Engineering, M.B.A/ Masters in Engineering is desirable

Additional education or training in Safety, Financial & Human Resource Management would be added advantage

Previous Experience

Minimum of 15 – 20 yrs of increasingly responsible production management experience, including a minimum of five to Six years as a responsible for overall profitability.

Experience in handling assembling process industry and ability to visualise and trouble shoot process related problems.

Experience in multi-product, multi customer environment is must for this position

MNC experience and foreign cultural exposure is must.
