RBG Labs, IIT Madras Hiring for Instrumentation Engineer at Chennai, Tamil Nadu Full Time

Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS) established at RBG labs, IIT Madras acts as think tank and funded by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, GOI. In addition, the centre advises and guides various stakeholders like State Governments and industry bodies in different aspects of road safety. The centre with multidisciplinary prospects works with principle of Integrated Systems approach on 4E’s (Engineering, Enforcement, Emergency & Education) to enhance Road Safety across the nation and globe in pledge to save lives.

We are looking for a passionate ​​Instrumentation Engineer who can study, analyse, asses the road parameters on field and remote.

Requirements in Instrumentation Engineering

• Should have knowledge about sensors used in vehicle test instrumentation and automobile safety systems
• Complete knowledge of test procedures, as well as the creation, development, and use of a wide range of instruments
• Should have knowledge of latest automobile technologies
• Ability to drafts technical manuals for instrumentation
• Capable to develop simple schematics and virtual models to test designs, change designs to adhere to budget and specification constraints

Requirements in Vehicle Engineering (ADAS)

• Experience in working on various IOT based automotive product-models and ideas involving sensors and actuators
• Complete knowledge of test procedures, as well as the creation, development, and use of a wide range of vehicle test instrumentation
• Flair to work on development of Advanced-Driver-Assist Systems (ADAS) to enhance the road-safety.

Expectations

• At least five years of Industry experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-evolving environment with a start-up culture
• Ability to draft and present formal technical documents, reports, and testing results within target time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in Computer-aided design (CAD) software will be added advantage

Salary: ₹324,000.00 – ₹720,000.00 per year
