This information security function in the CISO office is responsible for the defining, implementing and governing security practices and standards within RealPage

As a Firewall Analyst, you will be the focal point for the continuity of our network protection strategy. Success in this role is driven by your ability to provide a deep analysis and collaborate with our teammates and colleagues to ensure we meet business needs while effectively managing risk.

• Develop, communicate, and manage Threat and Vulnerability intelligence processes, guidelines, and standards

• Maintain documentation on incidents, campaigns, actors, TTPs, and atomic indicators for consumption at various functions across the business

• Align data in threat intelligence to MITRE ATT&CK Framework

• Drive design and implementation security monitoring use cases guided by threats identified as part of the collection process

• Develop relationships with industry peers to collaborate on threat intelligence sharing

• Align incidents and vulnerabilities with collected intelligence in order to communicate risk

• Work with various intelligence collection and reporting tools and frameworks to produce reports for technical and non-technical audiences

• Issue advisories on critical threats and vulnerabilities

• Provide expertise and recommend relevant remediation and countermeasures

• Build and implement automation in order to address repetitive daily tasks

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security, Information Assurance and/or Cyber Security space. Additional relevant experience and professional certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in the information security field designing and implementing enterprise security solutions.

• Deep and broad understanding related to security encompassing end point technologies, applications, application hosting, physical and virtual data center hosting.

• Experience with security practices such as security incident response and risk management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide range of audiences including technologists, executives, business stakeholders and IT team members.

• Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

• Accustomed to information security risk assessments processes

• Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT or NIST.

• High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

• High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.

• Ability to think at systems / architecture level I.e. How do all the parts of the solution fit together not just design at element level.

• Proven ability in security process and organizational design; Current understanding of Industry trends and emerging threats; and knowledge of incident response methodologies and technologies.

• Advanced degree in applicable field

• Professional information security certification, such as GCTE, OSCP, GCIA, GCIH or similar

• In-depth and hands-on experience with Security Analytics and Incident Response

• Knowledge with common scripting languages (e.g. BASH, Python, etc)
