Support in creating working schedule & budget (including resource, trends, change orders, etc.) for the Materials Planning team, as per the direction from immediate Manager

• Implement new initiatives/ projects as per established policies to meet future requirements
• Provide inputs for improvements & enhancements in business processes, specifications and best practices

Materials Planning & Estimation

Support in controlling project budget/ schedule including resource, trends, change orders, etc. as per the direction from the senior management

• Drive the Material Management work plan, and ensure the outcomes are achieved as per the plan
• Estimate contingencies on actual requirement to mitigate additional requirement due to non-traceability, allowable wastages or modifications if any.

Materials Operations Support

• Engineer Material Control-Unit
• Preparation of material constraint list and resolving material constraints
• Deallocation material from lower priority job and allocating to higher priority job
• Excess issue to other plants and advising site engineer to take suitable steps
• Raising and material substitution Requests
• Initiating ICS process
• Timely escalating and chasing of critical issues with concerned department
• Assisting construction unit for nontracability, job offloading activities and raising additional material request if required
• Interacting with project warehouse QMD to obtain IBR TCs and assisting construction unit.
• Based on construction unit request and QMD recommendations- raising of MDR and SDR. Further coordinating with various departments for approval and arranging material at

construction unit

• Validate soft allocation periodically
• Engineer Material Control -Site
• Collection verifying and compiling of weekly constraint list received from construction unit and fabrication shops analysing material constraints and resolving it by
• Deallocation material from lower priority job and allocating to higher priority job
• Analysing excess issue to units or fabrication shops and taking suitable actions for utilization
• Raising and approving material substitution requests
• Initiating and expediting ICS process by coordinating with various departments and executing ICS
• Timely escalating and chasing of critical issues with concerned department
• Interact with unit for soft allocation & hard allocation
• Assisting construction unit for raising material substitution request and additional material requests
• Raising global material substitution SERs
• Interacting with QMD to resolve material quality issue during receipt at warehouse or site
• Assisting project warehouse to resolve technical issues.
• Advising project warehouse to raise” Discrepancy Report- DR” for correcting physical inventories as per material engineering codes

Project Engineering Estimation

• Ensure quality is inline with the requirements provided
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update relevant stakeholders in the organisation about the developments and material progress made in the project

Education –

Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 4-6 years of experience

Diploma in Mechanical /Production Engineering with 10-12 years of experience

Desirable : Material Management / Project Management experience in Construction field in a similar position, with good computer / database management skills.

• Exposure to SAP, MS Office
