Position Name; Deputy Manager – Supplier Quality Assurance

JD:

Build supplier quality standards, procedures, and systems for new manufacturing plant. Guarantee the continual compliance of quality standards for products and processes to ensure consistency leading to customer satisfaction. • Overall responsibility for Supplier Quality Assurance across the business. • Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance. • Ensuring materials, services and products supplied by each and every vendor/supplier is duly meeting the specifications of our customers and their quality benchmarks • Work in collaboration with Internal Quality Teams, Procurement and supply chain functions as well as vendor to ensure there is a seamless and best of the class customer experience in terms of product quality with due review mechanism • Responsible in driving and evaluating potential suppliers, onboard specific suppliers that satisfy production needs and also conduct quality planning • Maintain a supplier quality matrix, certify or rate top ranked suppliers, and further create a robust rating mechanism to incentivise supplier pool • Drive key SQA metrics viz., products meeting quality standards, percentage of products delivered by supplier within timelines • Also, focus on reducing manufacturing costs while increasing efficiency and productivity and creating seamless buyer-supplier data flow to lead to better customer satisfaction • Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets. • Establish quality and reliability audits by studying industry benchmarks and the requirements of customers and research/design and development, and define the metrics required to assess performance against standards required.

Requirements:

Greenfield and/or brownfield experience would be an added advantage. • Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, quality gates, components, and manufacturing techniques • Sound understanding of various quality core tools viz., FMEA, PPAP, POKA YOKE, 5S, 7QC, IATF 16949 • Candidates with ground up experience of creating SQA policies, teams, functions will be highly preferred What’s on Offer
