Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Working in a project-oriented development team to create custom AR experiences for commercial use cases in Spark AR and/or Lens Studio.
• Utilizing patch-based editors and scripting to define the logic of the experiences.
• Collaborating with designers and artists to complete productions.
• Implementing user interfaces based on mockups and storyboards.
• Crafting intuitive user experiences for both novice and experienced users.
• Using industry-standard source control and issue tracking systems like GitHub.
• Keeping up with the latest trends and advancements in augmented reality.

Hard Skills

• Familiarity with standard AR software, best practices, and design patterns.
• Need to have published at least 1 AR filter on Instagram or Snapchat.
• Ability to understand and apply 2D and 3D mathematical concepts (linear algebra, matrix multiplication, quaternions, collisions, memory management, etc.)
• Knowledge of game engine concepts such as lighting, shaders, materials, meshes, scripting, etc.
• History of working collaboratively on multi-person teams with source control.
• Creativity in finding solutions to abstract design problems, particularly with respect to translating real-world concepts and interactions into AR.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks through self-directed time management and organization.

• Nice to have:

– General familiarity with industry-standard 3D graphics software such as Blender, Maya, Substance, Adobe Ps and Ai, etc.
– Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming Languages.Soft Skills

• Strong output orientation, energy, and stamina
• Ability to make your own way with minimum supervision
• Willingness to learn new techniques/tools through research, online tools, software, and problem-solving to achieve the desired goal.
