JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the FP&A team. She/he will be responsible for planning, analysis and projection of various financial metrics for the FP&A department at Rubrik. She/he will assist the finance business partners across different teams providing financial support to the monthly close process, BvA analysis and monthly/quarterly financial reporting and ad hoc analysis of the business.
This position will be based in Bangalore, India.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist other financial business partners in preparing and analysing various forecast and plan items including Rubrik R&D, Customer Support functional groups.
Research, analyse and explain any expense and Cost of sales variance or discrepancy between actual vs plan and forecast.
Prepare monthly accruals, search for unrecorded liabilities.
Prepare and submit Journal Entries to Accounting.
Research to understand spend to ensure expense actuals are being posted to the correct cost centre and GL account.
Create and maintain budget, actual, headcount movement reports for distribution to senior management.
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management as needed to review and improve business and financial performance.
Review and initiate necessary changes in Coupa, NetSuite, Workday, and Adaptive on an as needed basis.
Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years work experience in FP&A department at a software technology company
Experience with working with US based companies
Creating and thinking through bookings plan, expense plan, headcount ratios
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
Excellent analytical and written communication skills
Advanced Excel and Database skills
Ability to quickly grasp business requirements and formulate into Excel, PowerPoint and database environments
Proficient using Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
Good verbal and non-verbal communication
Good business instincts and curiosity about business
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Execute responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through
Positive, proactive work ethic and approach
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
Have good business instincts and display a curiosity about the business
Show tact, discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation
