Sacred Blue’s Sustainability Engineer will be immersed in the world of sustainability standards through collaborative, hands-on engagement. Our intention is to grow this position from Junior to Senior Sustainability Engineer as experience and expertise are gained. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUSTAINABILITY ENGINEER

The Sustainability Engineer will increasingly demonstrate understanding of sustainability standards and effective compliance strategies. Additional expectations are outlined below.
Written and oral communication:

• Draft clear and concise memos, agendas, information requests and other communications.
• Ensure that customized document deliverables are accurate.
• Communicate concepts, opinions, and information clearly and persuasively to colleagues and managers in one-on-one settings.
• All communication, including verbal and written will be in English.

Document preparation:

• Strive to read, study, and clearly understand sustainability standards. Where needed, ask clarifying questions, and conduct online research to develop through knowledge sustainability standards.
• Effectively assist in drafting and preparing project templates for kickoff, training, manuals, and audit reports. Sufficient training will be provided to carry-out assigned tasks.

Project management:

• Effectively assist in developing and managing project timelines, identifying outstanding items and execution strategies to ensure productive momentum.
• Understand assigned tasks and projects and appropriately follow up with questions and clarifications arising from internal and external meetings.

Other:

• Maintain client and organizational confidentiality.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• Proactively ask questions and seek support as needed.
