Overview:

• an Onboarding Coordinator in the renewable power sector, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining and managing the onboarding process for new hires across various locations, including plants and the corporate office. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a seamless transition for new employees into the organization, coordinating activities between different departments, and facilitating effective communication throughout the onboarding journey.

• Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including scheduling orientation sessions, training programs, and other onboarding activities.
2. Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, providing them with necessary information, resources, and support throughout their onboarding experience.
3. Liaise with HR, hiring managers, and department heads to gather required documentation and information for new hire onboarding.
4. Collaborate with IT departments to ensure new employees have access to necessary systems, tools, and equipment on their start date.
5. Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations, including room bookings, materials preparation, and scheduling presenters.
6. Facilitate introductions and connections for new hires with key team members, mentors, and stakeholders within the organization.
7. Conduct post-onboarding follow-up to gather feedback from new employees and identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the onboarding process.
9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to onboarding activities, including employee files and electronic databases.
10. Coordinate with plant locations and corporate offices to ensure consistency and alignment in the onboarding process across different sites.
11. Provide support and assistance to new hires as they acclimate to their roles and integrate into the organization.
12. Stay informed about best practices and trends in onboarding and employee engagement to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
2. Previous experience in HR, onboarding coordination, or related roles is advantageous.
3. Familiarity with onboarding processes and best practices, particularly in a multi-site or decentralized environment.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with employees at all levels of the organization.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS or onboarding software is a plus.
8. A customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
