Job Description:

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for functional testing different areas of the web-based product. You will work closely with engineering and Product Management to test, build and execute test plans against the Sage Intacct CRE application. As a quality engineer, your job duties include performing functional testing as part of the development team, and documenting any defects that you discover. You will also collaborate with fellow QA Engineers on projects that impact multiple applications and business solutions.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance (BCom/MCom/CA/MBA with Finance) or Degree in Engineering – BE/BTech/MCA.

• Minimum 3 years experience with Software Quality and testing methodologies

• Proven experience of delivering high quality software products within a full development life-cycle

• Experience with testing/developing web-based application.

• Strong analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Solid experience in Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodology

• Expertise with JIRA for user story management, test planning, test case and defect tracking

• Web-service testing experience

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)

• Financial/Accounting application experience (plus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide feedback

• Demonstrate ability to learn and train others in product area, QA tools, and general QA functions

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the SDLC and associated methodologies

• Execute tests based on test plans and/or checklists

• Conduct quality assurance activities on policies, procedures, standards and features assigned

• Communicate verbally and in writing with team members and management on product issues

• Proactively communicate to team any risks, design and quality issues, or increases in scope/time required

• Accurately report progress on goals

• Support team members and decisions

• Understand, acknowledge, and support change within the organization and processes

• Proactively seek to improve working environment
