Samsara Group Hiring for Sales Manager – Liner Sales at Mumbai (All Areas) Full Time

Roles and Responsibilities

• Active sales of Containers, closely coordinated with relevant marketing strategies to optimize net profit
• Sales of new and used container fleet for dry boxes, specials and reefers
• Trading of new and used containers within existing and new markets
• Repositioning and inventory management ensuring containers are in correct locations for selling
• Develop and deliver sales targets against sales plan
• Delivering volume growth with key accounts, across all categories including direct key account management
• Ensuring profitable and productive accounts across all market segments
• Develop and build upon relationships with customers to ensure the company can grow sales and presence in core areas
• Focus on expanding, growing markets within but not limited to Southeast Asia & Asia
• Develop the second hand sales by increasing business with new customers in emerging markets
• Industry events and trade shows as necessary to effectively expand presence in the market place
• Manage and coach a team of individuals to optimal performance including setting account strategies, creating account plans, proposal development, negotiation and service delivery
• Set goals with the team and track progress using KPIs and take corrective action where necessary
• Ensure tools and processes are being adopted and put into practice
• Directly responsible for a team of sales people
• With the rest of the sales team, you will be involved in setting the container sales strategy. You will carry out the sales and coordinate invoicing and operational planning with the relevant support functions
• Manage forecasting/budget process to align with divisional goals
• Ultimately, you will be expected to leverage your entrepreneurial spirit whilst living the Samsara Line values to create opportunities, and close them

General Management

• Resolve quality / performance issues;
• Identify training needs and support continuous upgrading of skills within the Sales function;
• Ensure monthly and quarterly reporting of financial and other necessary operational metrics and gap analyses and corrective action plans
• Responsible for implementation and maintenance of IT solutions according corporate guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Require a skilled sales person with an interest in the used container industry with knowledge about the container industry to work independently.
