Brief about the role: SBI Foundation seeks an Assistant Manager – Corporate Communications to join our MarCom team. In this fast-paced role, you’ll help shape and protect our organization’s reputation through strategic communication.
As our Assistant Manager, you’ll lead our corporate messaging initiatives by creating compelling press releases, statements, and thought leadership content. Your role will involve driving PR campaigns and media relations while building strong relationships with journalists. You’ll also manage internal communications and newsletters to keep our team aligned and informed.
Working closely with program teams, you’ll help tell impactful stories about our work while coordinating with external agencies and media partners to amplify our reach. Crisis communications and corporate stakeholder relationships will also fall under your purview.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the development sector and exceptional storytelling abilities. You should be comfortable juggling multiple projects while maintaining high quality standards. This position reports to our MarCom lead and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization’s communication strategy.

Brief Job Description:
1. Corporate Messaging:
1.1 Build and manage the SBI Foundations reputation through effective external and internal communications.
1.2 Draft and manage corporate messaging, including press releases, statements, and communications for key initiatives, events, and partnerships. Collaborate with leadership to develop thought leadership content, such as articles, op-eds, and white papers, to position the organization as an industry leader
2. Media Relations:
2.1 Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists.
2.2 Manage PR campaigns and secure media coverage for key organizational activities
2.3 Track and monitor media coverage, conduct sentiment analysis, and prepare regular reports on media performance to inform strategic decision-making
3. Internal Communications:
3.1 Coordinate internal communication initiatives, such as newsletters and employee engagement campaigns, Emailers.
3.2 Develop communication materials for leadership and employees, ensuring consistent messaging.
4. Brand Guidelines Compliance:
4.1 Ensure that all communication adheres to the organization’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
5.1. Collaborate with program teams to highlight impactful stories and outcomes for dissemination
5.2 Partner with external agencies for event communications and collateral development
6. Crisis Management:
6.1 Act as a point of contact for managing the organization’s communication during crises.
6.2 Prepare and execute contingency communication plans.
