Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Hiring for Designer at Bengaluru, India Full Time

As a Designer in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As a Designer, a typical day might include the following:

• Create detailed physical and electrical designs and support job estimates under the supervision of a technical lead

• Prepare CAD drawings and other project documentation

• Provide design engineering support to project technical leads

• Complete assigned work and submit within timelines and budgets with a high level of quality

• Provide design engineering support to project technical leads

• Develop and maintain an acceptable level of expertise in SEL and industry design practices ​

• Develop and maintain an acceptable level of knowledge of SEL equipment and solutions for electric power system protection and automation

• Using best available processes and tools and provide feedback on process enhancements.

• Other duties as assigned

This job might be for you if:

• You have an Associates degree in EET, CAD, Drafting, or relevant discipline; or possess equivalent experience for each academic year

• Three plus years of relevant experience with high voltage electrical design, including several projects in protective relay controls systems

• Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products

• Demonstrate competency in CAD drafting (AUTOCAD or Microstation)

• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
