Purpose:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Seerist , a growing company that is creating the most exciting technology and tools for predictive security analysis on the market. This role will be part of a growing Technical Support team focused on ensuring that our client s have immediate indications of disruptive threat information through which they can maintain situational awareness and stay ahead of threats .

This role will directly support Seerist’s client-first mission . I n this role, you will contribute to alerting clients of real-time and emerging indications of global threats and disruption . You will be responsible for researching global threats and assisting in the optimization of client threat ale rting. This is a hybrid work situation, we would like someone in the office a few days a week.

Role and responsibilities:

• Knowledge of major global breaking security incidents and trends
• Interest in newsworthy global events, such as elections, security, conflict and disruption
• Research relevant information on these events, including locations, major players , affected assets and sectors
• Configure in-app alerts based on event trends, keywords, hashtags, names and locations
• Collaborate with other colleagues in Seerist , with input from our clients, to support rapid notification of political, operational, and security risk issues
• Contribute to other research for clients for report creation and delivery of written material
• Identify trends in data and conduct basic data analysis in response to requests from internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven research skills , ideally in a context relevant to political, security, or operational risk issues
• Strong English-language writing skills; able to write short products with minimal editorial review
• Understanding of political violence and security risks and how they relate to clients across a range of sectors
• Strong sense of curiosity . W illing to learn and receive feedback
• Flexibility – we’re a small company that moves and reacts quickly to the needs of our users

Desired Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Research proficiency in additional languages
• Strong communication skil ls, both verbally and in writing
• Attention to detail
• Experience in a similar role in security or intelligence
• Self-starter
• Technical acumen; able to synthesize major events into keywords for rapid alerting
