Senior Accountant at Bengaluru (Bangalore) Full Time

Responsibilities

1. Overall responsibility for the AP, AR, regulatory compliance, payments business accounting, IT process controls etc.
2. Setting up or revamping ERP / systems for accounting functions.
3. Finalize Trial balance and P & L, balance sheet, cash flow for monthly reporting & Statutory audit
4. Compliance – Ensuring compliance with various applicable laws from time to time.
5. Filing of statutory returns before the due date. Lead the direct and indirect taxes compliance for the entire company including the deduction of TDS, filing of returns, GST etc.
6. Assisting the auditor with audit preparations, documentation, reconciliation and other audit-related areas.
7. Responsible for Bookkeeping, Cash flow management, and MIS reporting
8. Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost accounting & Revenue recognition.
9. Create and publish monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts by collaborating with different departments
10. Coordinate with bankers from time to time to meet the requirements of the business.
11. Manage and review Payroll, PF, and related enrolments for new hires in the India entity.
12. Analysis of the financial results and identifying opportunities for strategic cost management.
13. Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
14. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
15. Support month-end and year-end close processes.
16. Supervise and manage financial department staff including accountants, bookkeepers, and financial assistants.

2. Must be a CA intermediate and have 3+ years of experience working MNC, Big 4 or early start up’s
3. 3+ years of accounting and finance experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
4. Full understanding of regulatory reporting and compliance in India GAAP.
5. Strong knowledge of Excel, ERP, Zohobook and business reporting tools for accounting, data modelling, financial analysis, and visualization
6. Ability to handle pressure at work and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
