Team Overview 

The Spire product is a versatile securities finance platform that can be used as a full system or customised into modules, enabling us to adapt to our financial clients needs. 

We are now looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join us in Pune. The team’s primary focus is to develop and maintain our B2B multi-tier platform which helps our clients with a full-service offering covering the front, middle and back office.

Role Responsibilities  

• Work closely with Spire Product Specialists and internal stakeholders to outline business requirements and support prioritization decisions  
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle    
• Work synergistically with business analysts to create new and enhanced platform functionality    
• Author and update functional requirements and technical design documentation    
• Validate test plans and scenarios    
• Assist client support personnel in the remediation of production issues, defects, and bugs   
• Work with the infrastructure team to ensure deployment and integration tasks are completed successfully    
• Support client efforts to integrate the platform by providing technical subject matter expertise    

Required Skills  

• 3+ years’ commercial experience as a Java Developer  
• Excellent knowledge of Java and related frameworks such as Spring Boot  
• Experience working with RESTful API services 
• Extensive knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases. 
• Experience in development within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline 
• Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure etc. 
• Good communication in English  
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders with excellent problem solving skills
