Sensata Technologies is recruiting a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop Charge Box Solutions within our Heavy Vehicle Off Road (HVOR) Electrification Team.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) for our Electric Vehicle Charge Box platform. You will work with our global, cross functional development teams and OEM customers to create embedded software products to meet growing market need for safe, secure solutions.

General Responsibilities
Handles the developing of complex software in selected languages for Sensata products and/or applications consistently following Sensata’s coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes
Introduces new development of software to control external hardware for automated test equipment and other applicable development
Handles software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project
Handles participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) with at least 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 9 or more years.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Developing and maintaining the AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) for our ECU platforms
Following Sensata’s coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes
Handle software engineering tools (incl. AUTOSAR Toolchain) such as configuration management systems, build processes and debuggers in the software development process
Participation in peer code reviews, requirement refinement and design
Leading collaboration with Application, setting BSW direction and coaching junior engineers
A university degree and 4-6 years of experience
Experience of Software configuration using Vector tool chain and integration on AUTOSAR based software architecture
Experience configuring BSW in two or more of the following areas: MCAL, Flash Bootloader, OS, RTE, Coms, Diagnostics, Memory Protection, Cybersecurity, Memory Drivers, Communication drivers, IO Hardware abstraction, Functional Safety capability
Board bring up and MCAL integration experience
Experience of UDS ISO14229 diagnostics configuration of DEM/DCM modules
Understanding and experience of the software development toolchain: Requirements capture tools, bug/issue tracking tools, IDEs, software analysis and testing tools, documentation tools, compilers and debuggers
Experience of Bootloader integration and configuration
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with good understanding of system development methodologies, techniques and tools
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and deliver results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Development of ECUs for automotive or HVOR CAN buses. J1939 an advantage.
Project experience of ASIL-A/B following ISO26262 process
Project experience of compliance with UNECE R155 (Cyber Security and Cyber Security Management System), UNECE R156 (Software Update and Software Update Management System and/or ISO 21434 (Road vehicles — Cybersecurity Engineering)
Detailed working knowledge of microcontrollers and peripherals, low level device drivers and of communications protocols such as CAN, Flexray, SPI, I2C
Knowledge of high voltage battery systems and BMS
