Inviting commercial leaders with passion for brand building to lead Passenger Car Motor Oil (PCMO) sector for Shell Lubricants India. This is a unique opportunity for talented individuals to join Shell as we are strengthening traditional marketing roles with higher empowerment and customer centricity to deliver our strategy of ‘powering progress’.
What’s therole?
As a Brand and Markting manager, your mandate is to define3-5 yeargrowth strategy for Shell in this sector and then break it down into operating plan for financial year. The incumbent is responsible for commercial (P&L) delivery of the sector and hence the responsibility is far broader than planning and delivery of marketing objectives. While fully own development and execution of marketing strategy, the incumbent will also need to closely collaborate and influence sales andmulti functionalteams for delivery of sector financial objectives. The role also requires close collaboration with regional and global sector marketing teams for execution of global campaigns, new product launches and best practices sharing.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to India marketing director, Shell Lubricants. The role is critical to Shell’s long-term strategy and is one of the senior pivotal roles for nurturing future leaders.As such, this person will also take on strategic corporate marketing projects beyond PCMO sector responsibility when needed and will be expected to mentor fellow members of the marketing team to strengthen marketing talent pipeline.
Key Accountabilities:
Volume and margin delivery for PCMO sector (Shell Helix as a primary focus).
Planning, tracking and post implementation review of marketing budgets to improve ROI
Support and participate in the development of sector financial and volume plans for current year as well as3-5 yearhorizon
Develop, maintain and implement the marketing strategy and plan for the sector covering: pricing, product portfolio, training, customer value propositions and an integrated marketing communications plan
Tailor global customer value propositions to the requirements of the Indian market
Monitor competitive activity and market changes. Monitor and analyse date to understand brand, product and customer performance and trends to make suitable changes in strategy
What we need from you?
Degree/Post Graduate degree in leading disciplines
Minimum 10 years ofend to endmarketing experience in a B2C environment, including ‘digital first’ marketing strategy development and implementation
Sales and/or commercial experience to identify and deliver value levers beyond classical marketing objectives for achieving financial goals
Personal attributes include:
Ability to think strategically and to translate new concepts into operational plans
Strong commercial instinct
Strong customer orientation
Ability to manage multiple competing projects and handle numerous relationships
Strong interpersonal and excellent organisational skills
