Job Responsibilities

Develop plan for implementing government affairs strategy for Zone India

Understand the healthcare medical devices regulatory landscape for threat and business opportunities; develop mitigation plan and enhancement strategies that aids in growth of business

Partner with business heads and local management on regulatory/government affairs topics related to their business

Collaborate proactively with functions such as Quality, Regulatory, Legal etc to ensure that there is no business disruption

Engage, educate and support relevant internal stakeholders on public policy and advocacy topics

Acts as company’s representative and build relationships with key regulatory bodies, policy makers, lawmakers and related government officials

Participate in industry forums, conferences and outreach programs to advance the company’s position on healthcare topics and shape public policy

Qualification/Skillset/Competencies

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; preferably in Public Policy, Law, Political Science or related discipline

8-12 years of experience working either in corporate government affairs setup or industry body/association; preferably related to healthcare medical devices industry

Strategic advocacy and strong communication skills

Ability to translate and contextualize complex regulatory/public policy topics for internal stakeholders

Ability to build networks and effectively work along with senior corporate leaders, policy makers and industry associations heads

Demonstrate highest level of ethics, integrity and confidentiality in all matters
