Job Title: Configuration Management and DevOps Lead

Job Summary: As a Configuration Management and DevOps Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Configuration Management (CM) and DevOps infrastructure for projects and delivery of daily builds, packages to the team on time, resolving CM and DevOps tool issues faced by users. You will lead a team of CM and DevOps engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure build, smooth integration and delivery of software applications. Your role will involve designing and implementing automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines, as well as driving the adoption of DevOps best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and manage a team of CM and DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

• Set clear goals and expectations for the team and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and provide opportunities for professional growth and development.

1. Configuration Management and DevOps Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive CM and DevOps strategy, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable CM and DevOps plans.

• Define and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of CM and DevOps processes and identify areas for improvement.

1. Continuous Integration and Deployment:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated build, deployment, and release processes.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate the smooth and efficient delivery of software applications.

• Ensure proper configuration management and version control practices are in place.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with development, V&V, QT teams to facilitate seamless collaboration and efficient software delivery.

• Communicate and advocate DevOps principles, processes, and benefits to stakeholders and senior management.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the CM and DevOps team and across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering

• About 10 years of proven experience in Configuration Management and DevOps environment.

• Possess good people management skill, having led a team of minimum 5 to 10 engineers

• Hands-on experience in Configuration Management using Azure DevOps, Git, ClearCase

• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure provisioning.

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell and CI / CD tool chain

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• SW development using Agile / SAFe methodology

• Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
