• Material planning – Maintain required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.

• Inventory Management – Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

• Analyze slow moving – nonmoving items, suggest proposals to consume such materials.

• Act as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

• Monitor delivery performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet and delivery requirements; identify and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

• Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability of supplies and materials.

• Timely reporting issues in supply chain to mitigate risk.

• Derive forecast by using historical data & inputs from dependent departments. Share forecast with supplier for advance material planning

• Should have brief knowledge about – SAP transactions (MM module), quality management, production planning, warehouse management etc.

• Brief knowledge about – Import- export procedures. Air/ sea shipments, Inco terms, Freight calculation, Custom clearance procedures.
