JOB SUMMARY:

To be instrumental in the Development, Implementation and Revisions of the Corporate Asset Integrity Spares Strategies and Management Processes for SBM’s Global Marine Assets, New Development and Shore Bases. The Reliability Engineer works closely with maintenance teams, equipment suppliers, and procurement teams to ensure that critical spare parts are available when needed, while minimizing inventory costs.

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES / MAIN TASK:

• To be responsible for the development and revision of the company Spares Selection and Management Strategy
• To define Capital and Operational Spares listing based on probability, risk, redundancy and lead times
• Produce cost estimates for Capital and Operational Spares holding for WIN phase activities
• Review SPIL’s and to ensure completeness and optimization of spares holding
• Identify Preservation and Storage requirements whilst contributing to the development of Preservation Procedures
• Produce documentation updates on Minimum spare parts requirements
• Liaise with client on spares and preservation related queries
• Identify opportunities for spare sharing and interchangeability between FPSO’s in collaboration with RAM Modelling and Maintenance Teams
• Strive towards LEAN Processes
• Assist procurement with review activities and provide input and sound judgment as required
• Train personnel in spares strategy fundamentals and department initiatives as required
• Review and create BOM’s across operational assets and new projects
• Input to minimum/maximum holding levels
• To liaise with Maintenance and Reliability Teams and Supply on strengthening robustness and maintenance turnaround
• To assist in the development of life cycle Assets Integrity Management (AIM) plans for each of the Company’s Marine Units, monitor their implementation and participate in their regular review and update.
• To support spares migration activities in the ERP systems

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Degree Level/Technical Qualification in an Engineering Discipline
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience of Planned Maintenance Systems with Material specialization
• FPSO or experience within the Oil and Gas Industry preferred but not essential
• Ability to communicate with various stakeholders and adapt to a multicultural environment
• A good understanding of major packages and cross-discipline awareness
• To apply a pro-active approach to retrieve information from Subject Matter Experts when working area of technical expertise.
• Good working knowledge of CMMS ERP Systems (IFS or similar)
• ISO 14224 Awareness preferred
