Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee the product development stages, while ensuring robust gate controls

Collaborate with a large and diverse cross functional team of Product Planning, R&D,

Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Business unit, etc.

Chair program meetings and manage and provide directions to ensure all cross functional activities to meet defined program boundary conditions

Assess overall program risks on a day-to-day basis and provide decision and directions to mitigate the risk

Report product development progress to senior management

Leverage IT tools and innovative means to help determine the most efficient means of effectively supporting the program

Ensure that products are delivered on time, within budget and with the right quality

Oversee product deployment all the way to sales launch and beyond

Diagnose and resolve technical and managerial issues

Drive evaluation of product performance metrics and facilitate adjustments

Document processes, ensure religious internal reviews for process adherence and ensure compliance with industry standards

Contribute ideas for improving the program management processes for development of vehicle and related products

Keep up with advancements in automotive technologies (along with those in relevant allied industries)
