Roles and Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
Formulate and articulate a vision and provide strategic direction across sourcing, SCM in order to continuously raise the benchmark of excellence and drive cost competitiveness of the organization.

Develop vendor base for all Sourcing components

Manage end to end supply chain (commercial settlement to line side material supply).

Manage vendors, supplying components spread across the country and outside indiafor seamless flow of materials to the line side with optimum inventory levels

Participate in end to end supply chain starting vendor selection to line side supply to ensure seamless material availability with optimum inventory levels

Settle commercials with suppliers and monitor the commodity/FOREX movements to ensure the right cost of procurement

Establish and manage the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) for leveraging the supply chain and ensure long term relationship.

Key Accountabilities:
Formulate a comprehensive Sourcing strategyby aligning with key stakeholders within company inorder to ensure adequate support to cater to business strategy and growth aspirations

Direct sourcing operations by providing key inputs / guidance on manufacturing footprint, de-risking of operations, technological capabilities, capacity utilization levels etc. in order to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing operations that achieves productivity, cost, delivery, quality and safety parameters

Formulate a sourcing strategy by deciding on key issues such as insourcing-outsourcing mix, optimizing inventory carrying cost, engaging in discussions with major commodity suppliers etc. in order to ensure sourcing at optimal cost and quality

Foster collaboration and best practice to deploy consistent processes in strategic sourcing and supplier quality and enhance operational efficiencies

Ensure optimal support to businesses by engaging in strategic discussions with all stake holders on critical operational aspects, issues, aligning expectations, agreement on forecasts etc. to ensure seamless operations
