Roles and Responsibilities

Software Manager will be a hands-on leader to join the skyTran Software organization The

ideal candidate is a coach/player with experience managing an engaged high-performance

team, as well as senior-level experience as a software engineer. You will lead a team of highly

skilled and motivated software engineers to ensure engineering excellence and timely execution

toward outcomes.

Work with Director of Software, Product Manager(s) and IPTs to manage the roadmap

for your team’s software domains

Plan, strategize, and execute on high-level software milestones

Review code written by other engineers both in and outside of your team

Provide technical leadership, feedback and mentorship to the engineers on your team

Hold regular one on ones with all direct reports

Provide regular feedback on career growth, progression towards goals, areas for

improvement, and praise as warranted

Helps set and maintain professional standards and processes for the software

organization

You are an excellent team leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to

function in a cross-functional environment

You have experience managing, mentoring and teaching other engineers

You have experience providing technical leadership in small teams

Experience implementing, verifying and validating Software and Firmware requirements

Experience implementing, verifying and validating Software Cyber requirements

You feel confident architecting solutions on your own, but take the time to ask questions

about behavior and business results

You have strong experience working and managing projects with: Python, C++,

JavaScript, Embedded software and ios/android software development

You are a believer in automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery

You are comfortable working with git, Github and related tools

You’ve shipped, operated, scaled, and supported consumer applications

Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or

equivalent

15+ Years in Software Leadership roles

Experience with Python, C++, JavaScript, ios/android development

Experience in developing and deploying software

Understands and has implemented software development processes within Agile

Development Teams
