Roles and Responsibilities

Job Description:
Lead – Supplier Quality Assurance ( EV Electrical – Motor, Battery, Lightnings,Wiring harness, Switches, Electronic Throttle )

Driving process/product improvement to achieve benchmark quality

Excellent ability to plan and execute the project plan to achieve KPI targets

Review product and process at regular intervals as per approved PPAPs of wheeler Electrical & Electronics parts.

Conduct DFM / DFA Study on the new design, support supplier’s to select right Tools, Fixtures and gauges, support them in various builds wheeler Electrical & Electronics parts.

Review product and process quality status progressively during new product development and initiate corrective actions as & when required.

Approve the PPAP for New parts / sub-assemblies / assemblies with required Quality level.

Establish systems and processes for eliminating early failures of supplier parts in new products

Review progress of achievement of process capability of CTQ parameters consistently in manufacturing of supplier parts.

Facilitate analyzing and eliminating critical product and process problems for both field returns and assembly complaints of Mechanical commodity parts on supplier

parts

Review and control maintenance of all standards pertaining to supplier parts manufacturing.

Ensure the availability of all necessary IMTEs for manufacturing and ensure they are calibrated and studied for MSA.

Ensure the monthly Supplier Performance Score card is prepared and other SQA Quality Performance measures are complied with suitable actions incase there is gap.

Develop and mentor supplier quality engineers and Supplier quality associates for improved effectiveness and efficiency of systems and personnel.

Train and coach team members in quality tools and techniques (specifically focusing on application of statistics) for effective and systematic problem solving and prevention.

Analyze and implement the Customer complaints, Warranty returns and ensure the corrective actions on Supplier products and process are implemented on time and sustained.

Organize the Monthly Quality Review with suppliers at company and drive the closure of open points

Ensure 100% compliance to IATF 16949 QMS System on daily management activities

Skills :

• Handling EV Electrical – Motor, Battery,Lightings,Wiring harness, Switches, Electronic Throttle.
• Excellent problem solving capability
• Need to have experience in supplier capability evaluation, APQP process Implementation, PPAP approval for the parts, assemblies etc.,
• Thorough knowledge in manufacturing processes like Stamping and Welding,
• Should be capable of team building and have effective communication skills.
