Qualification: B.E./Diploma/BSC
1) responsible for configuring, monitoring and improving PostgreSQL databases.
2) Query analysis to understand how teams are using the data
3) Allocation of system storage and planning storage requirements.
4) Planning backup and recovery of database information and managing data replication.
5) Database availability Monitoring
6) Monitor event logs/error details
7) Monitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate an imminent failure
8) Purging database Logs and trace files
9) Periodic config review to maintain consistent configurations
10) Review and recommendation to maintain availability
11) Monthly report on database availability
12) Monitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate an imminent failure.
13) Reinstall Database software
14) Responding to database related incidents and drive corrective action
15) Tuning DB parameters
16) Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management process
17) Use trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize and create Problems Management Records.
18) Restoration of database
19) Purging database Logs and trace files & Performance Management
20) Manage all Service requests through the change management process
21) Automate administration tasks where possible
22) Manage and update all Database environment documentation
