Job Description : · Responsible for L2 level support on Storage systems (HPE/NetApp/Dell EMC)
Configuration, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Storage systemsStrong experience in disaster recovery administration.Hands-on experience on the data migration tools, both array-based and host-based/non-array based.Provisioning storage to UNIX, Windows and ESXi serversManage security initiatives and processes as they pertain to data storage.Required storage equipment installation/de-installation knowledge and relocation of services.Provide escalation support for all storage-related problems.Maintain storage problem records and documentation, and operating procedures.Coordinate all storage monitoring activates to ensure optimal performance.Responsible for implementing and managing the enterprise storage environment.Responsible for performing production support activities for assigned storage systems to ensure the integrity and availability of the environment.Perform supporting file sharing across the environment and the integration of enterprise storage with Microsoft Windows, VDI, Citrix, and VMWare virtual server environment.Install, upgrade, repair, maintain, and retire production and test environments to meet business demands and profile future enhancements.Configure, Implement, deploy, and support technologies including converged technology, NAS and SAN environments, fiber channel switched fabric, and associated physical and virtual servers.Provide efficient and reliable storage allocation and defines backup, recovery, archival procedures.Develops and implements business continuity practices for storage management.Monitors the use and availability of storage resources.Troubleshoots storage related issues and takes appropriate actions.Generates reports and analysis of storage usage.Maintains storage configurations to provide capacity planning and performance monitoring/tuning of systems.Candidate must possess in-depth knowledge on Backup infrastructure to administrating/architecting backup solutionsManage different Backup configurations. Agent and Snapshot based backup clientsBackup Provisioning/De-Provisioning as per user requirements. Manage different restore operations: Complex and Cross restoreInstallation and configuration of Backup servers and ClientsAnalyses existing backup environment and provide expert advice for optimizationsUnderstanding functionalities of key Backup components/processesDiagnose of backup issues, fixes and follow up with root cause analysis from OEM.Deduplication/ Encryption / Replication / Reclamation / Migration / Snapshot / Retentions
