Job Description

Azure Cloud Native Architect will play a strategic role in maintaining Microsoft applications on Azure cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, databases, security groups and management networks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of .net application frameworks and cloud computing , as well as experience in provisioning various infrastructure components in Azure cloud. Azure DevOps and pipeline experience is a must. Should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.

• Good Experience microservice-based applications architecture using containerized applications, previous experience strategizing and executing on-prem to cloud transformation for large-scale applications is valuable
• Advance the Cloud Native Platform Engineering practice – monitoring/alerting, auto-scaling, security, and system stability and resiliency.
• Support a “security first” advocacy and encourage platform solutions that enable the microservice product teams to “shift left” with vulnerability identification and resolution
• Stay current on industry trends; innovate through research, proof of concepts, and demos·
• Collaborate and partner with the Cloud Native Platform team to ensure knowledge and expertise is shared & developed
• Enable frameworks to ensure compliance adherence with applicable security and privacy standards and regulations
• Experience architecting, designing, and deploying solutions on public and private cloud platform
• Experience working in a large, enterprise organization
• Experience with various Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) (e.g. Azure/AWS/GCP/ DevOps, Jenkins), Source Code Repositories (Git, BitBucket, etc.) and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible), technologies and best practices
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization, containers, service-mesh, and enterprise networking
• Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate technical recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for end-to-end architecture, including AWS & Azure and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management
• Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
• Excellent understanding of high availability and disaster recovery of applications in Cloud.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud security practices and implementations in popular cloud providers.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field. 3-5+ years’ experience designing, executing and supporting IT cloud Infrastructure solutions. Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work. Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
