S&P Global Hiring for Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Gurgaon, India Full Time

This position will suit candidates who enjoy both the technical and business aspects of design, development, testing, and deploying software in an environment of high visibility and transparency around deliverables, business needs, and customer value. Candidate need to:

• Work closely with Product stakeholders and highlight issues and risks proactively.

• Participate in agile product development throughout SDLC phases

• Work closely with analysts to gather business requirements, understand the business problems and should be able to convert those into solutions.

• Understand non-functional requirements like performance, scalability etc. aspect of the application.

• Understands and Contributes to architectural designs and framework.

• Quickly understand system architecture and become involved in design and development, taking ownership of complex tasks to drive project to completion.

• Develop software of highly quality and in time efficient manner.

• Organize peer reviews for designs, code, and other work products.

• Enforce quality standards including: code conventions, unit testing, static analysis, revision control.

• Coordinate with QA/QC staff for product functional and system testing.

• Recommend product, process, and tooling improvements.

• Maintain and support all areas of the application.

• Work as individual capacity and in teams across geographies.

• Help in organizational activities like interviews, trainings, mentoring etc.

  Business competencies

  Education and experience

• Hands-on experience in Core Java 8.0/J2ee, Spring Integration, XML, XSLT, JMS/EMS is a must

• Persistence: Hands-on development on SQL, JPA, Hibernate is must

• Good to have working on Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Tomcat, Apache httpd, Wildfly,. Nginx

• Working experience on JUnit, BDD, JMeter, JProfiler is must

• Worked on soruce code repositories like SVN, GIT, Perforce

• Working experience on Openshift/Kubernetes PaaS, Docker, Microservices. This includes hands-on experience in containerization and container orchestration.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in a technical or business field a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

  Commercial awareness

• Experience working with a similar financial services environment is a strong plus
