# Role and Responsibilities

Testing & Validation Engineer Lead will be responsible for vehicle homologation and approvals by various national and internal authorities and planning & executing necessary internal and external testing program. As team leader you would be responsible to hire required team members and develop a competent team.

• Create DVP for entire vehicle and its subsystems like frame, steering, suspension, brakes, battery pack, BMS, charging system, EMC, etc.
• Gather test specifications and qualifying conditions from various government standards like AIS, BIS, EU, UL, etc. for L5N category of commercial vehicles.
• Generate lists of equipment, test rig, instruments, etc. required to perform tests. Identify sources/ suppliers of these instruments.
• Identify external agencies conducting tests as services. Facilitate testing through external agencies as required.
• As member of CFT contribute to DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA.
• Periodic measurements, analysis, and life prediction of vehicle systems.
• Regular vehicle inspection and check-up (static and dynamic) to find out failures on the vehicles.
• Failures diagnosis and route cause analysis.
• Timely and structured reporting of vehicle failures during test with possible root cause and tracking for closure.
• Time Plan and optimal resources utilization for testing.
• Support to develop test cases, routes etc with respect to customer usage profile, field failures etc.
• Support for review/ updating of test procedures.

# Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical/ mechatronics/ electrical/ instrumentation/ electronics/ telecommunication engineering.
• Experience as test engineer 5 to 10 years in automobile OEM.
• Experience in at least one EV program homologation is highly preferred.
• Experience in IATF16949 framework.
• Experience in university level BAJA/ Supra or similar competition is preferred.
