About the Business Unit:
Business Automation Systems (BAS) is one of the Business Unit in the technology vertical of SNTPS with a primary focus on innovative solutions for our business partners. The BAS team provides solution and services to empower stakeholders and business partners to achieve their competitive business goals. It anticipate changes, fosters creativity, and makes innovations through system automation using machine learning techniques for content preparation and production.

BAS includes two major cross-functional teams working on several projects:
Application Development: This team primarily focuses on Configurable workflow products, Report Dashboards, Digitization of operational data & scaling the product capabilities by integrating it with various solutions/platforms. We keep our products user-centric and make sure it fulfills all the needs of our business partners.
Innovation Lab: it’s a Data Analysis and Decision Intelligence consulting team, where we implement AI-driven decision making systems for various verticals of the organization and provide innovative solutions. We focus on deploying AI/NLP and Data Science capabilities to add business value.
Job Title: Database Administrator
Job Type: Permanent Job
Job Location: Tower 9, Magarpatta City, Pune (Work in Hybrid Model)
Years of Experience: 6+ years
Educational Qualification: B.Sc., BCA, BCS, B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and M.Sc.
Skills and experience:
6+ and above years of experience in maintaining development & production databases of SQL Server and solving database requirements
Own, track and resolve database related feature requests, incidents and problems
Design and maintain complex data systems Databases
Solid understanding of analysis, designing, operating, automated complex database ETL systems
Working knowledge of SSRS.
Advanced knowledge of XSLT, XPath, and working knowledge with XML / JSON documents.
Ability to recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications
Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data integrity, performance issues blocks/deadlocks, replication, logs, connectivity, security, etc.
Experienced in Query Tuning & Optimization using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler or other related monitoring and troubleshooting tool
Strong knowledge of the internals of indexes, index storage, integrity, configuration, and patching
Self-driven person with a high sense of product ownership
Effectively communicate with technology customers to keep them updated with status of their requests keep up to date with the business domain and work closely with business stakeholders
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Desirable:
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage a number of stakeholders
Drive to work with global counterparts distributed across the globe
Intermediate knowledge of Perl
Intermediate knowledge of No-SQL
Involvement in open source projects
