Job Description

Senior developer will involve in the full stack development and support tasks into the Java, UI & database areas.
Development and support includes the requirement understanding, end-to-end design & development, testing, integration, enhancements, defect analysis and fixing.
The candidate should be an expert possessing strong skills in Java & databases like Oracle & Sybase, and also have good experience in UI with latest web based UI technologies.
The candidate should have interest and flexibility in learning different areas both in technical & functional based on the project requirements.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills that foster close collaboration with various partners throughout the business and technology teams.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• End-to-end design & development in the areas UI, Java (middle layer) and backend layer using Database modeling, Query development
• Understanding the business requirements and converting to the technical requirements
• Provide plans and estimation of the development tasks assigned
• Analyse the support queries / defects raised related to the UI areas, middle layer & database to provide solutions
• Provide the status update to the reporting manager and in the status meetings as appropriate
• Communicate effectively in verbal & written communications
• Be proactive in identifying and communicating the risks
• Collaborate and communicate well with the internal and global teams as required
• Provide ongoing support for level three production issues

Minimum Job Specifications

• 5-9 years of IT experience in full stack end-to-end development in java based web applications along with database experience in Oracle/Sybase.
• Solid experience in the Java & Database development and support
• Good experience in UI development
• Experience working in the development and maintenance of large applications preferably finance applications
• Working experience in all the phases of the project
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with the business, developers, QA, and operations
• Strong analytic, debugging, problem solving and collaborative skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience

Technical Skills

• Excellent in Java & Oracle/Sybase database.
• Excellent in J2EE , Spring & Struts framework.
• Good in UI (Javascript, jQuery) and Autosys.
• Good in Rest Framework, HTML5, Scripting languages like Shell etc
• Good experience in Eclipse IDE and WebLogic App servers
• Experience in Continuous Integration development
• Familiar to Unix
• Experience in Informatica MDM, Data Quality, IICS is a plus.
