Job Description

Responsibilities: As Windows Security Architect, you will be responsible for the designing, testing, implementing and documenting of Microsoft Windows security solution at State Street. The Windows Security Architect’s responsibilities include reviewing our current security measures, recommending enhancements, identifying areas of weakness, and responding promptly to possible security breaches. You will also be responsible for conducting regular system tests and updates of documentations for standards and guidelines.

• Understanding the organization’s technology and IT systems
• Providing expert security guidance to global development teams and ensure security requirements are met through the development process
• Developing solutions for security domains, Windows, Virtualization and Public clouds
• Reviewing existing feature designs and propose enhancements to secure them further
• Researching and innovating security through academic publications and patents as appropriate
• Collaborates with Service Delivery, Engineering, ITSM, Architecture, Application teams, Technology vendors, Application support and other infrastructure cloud operations teams to operate resilient, and secure platforms at industry best standards
• Developing project timelines for security implementations
• Testing of the leading Windows security products in the market
• Documenting Windows security architecture, standards and guidelines
• Operating and maintain the cyber security labs
• Responding to all security incidents and provides support
• Remaining up to date with the latest security systems and standards

Requirements:

• 10+ years of IT Security and Operations experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
• Total understanding of computer architecture and the Windows/PC/Intel hardware and software stack
• Deeper technical knowledge of Windows security threats (malware, ransomware, rootkits), and security features such as access control
• Understanding of local and remote security threats facing Windows/PC platforms, such as malware and ransomware, and exploitation techniques and defenses such as buffer overflows, and ASLR
• Experience with hardening of Windows servers, Windows PC, different windows roles, SQL server, Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop,
• Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting)
• Experience with VMware, Nutanix HyperConverge, Public Cloud deployments
• Excellent Communication skills
• Good knowledge with Python and Power shell
• Good Automation CI/CD experience
• Ability to interact with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and races
