Team Overview

We are looking for an Executive Financial Accountant to come and work in the Accounting team in our Chandigarh office. In this role you will actively contribute to the day-to-day management of accounting and financial reporting processes for our India operations.

Your role will be pivotal in liaising with internal stakeholders across various departments, ensuring smooth financial operations as well as liaising with vendors and external companies to ensure timely payments. To be a fit for this role you should have previous experience as an Accountant in the Finance, Tech or FinTech sector, be a whizz with Excel and be an excellent communicator who values collaboration with a global team.

Role Responsibilities  

• Assisting with the maintenance of the daily bookkeeping for our India operations, including Revenue/Receivables, Expenses/Payables.
• Support local audits by providing external auditors with required support.
• Engage in the preparation of timely and accurate documentation.
• Engage in preparation of Tax returns (TDS, GST)
• Engage in the preparation of regular financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, etc.) and present them to the team as scheduled.
• Assist the organization with compliance with various statutes and regulatory requirements from Indian government agencies.
• Distribute client invoices and address billing queries.
• Seek ways to streamline accounting processes.

Required Skills

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and its functions (such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and other relevant accounting formulas).
• Experience with key accounting tools (such as NetSuite, ERP, Tally, Bank Reconciliation, GST, TDS)
• Excellent knowledge of Indian GAAP.
• Strong understanding of accounting entries concepts.
• Working knowledge of tax returns.
• Must have experience in payments processing (vendor/employee reimbursement).
• Payroll experience is a plus.
